Happy Solstice to one and all. The days will only get longer from now on (well until June, obviously). I went to my therapy appointment and then ran some errands. I tried to get a vet appointment for Calliope for today as she doesn’t seem herself and she isn’t eating as much as usual or joining me either in the sauna or under my covers, but Fair Isle was booked for today. But I have Dr. Dana coming out tomorrow afternoon, so that should be ok. By the time I finished my holiday shopping and my grocery shopping and got home I found Thackeray with a runny left eye so I am glad that Dr. Dana will be here tomorrow to see them both. I was most relieved that UPS brought Josie’s holiday gifts today and with any luck, the postperson will deliver the last one with today’s mail which still hasn’t arrived. I can then breathe a sigh of relief and get on with wrapping. I didn’t receive Josie’s wish list until the 10th and the things I wanted to pick were from smaller catalog places with lovely unique items but not very fast service so it was cutting it very close. I believe Eric and family will be here Monday–at least that was my choice–but I don’t know when or for how long, so I really need to have everything here today! It does look as if it is working out. The dogs keep barking, thinking that they are seeing something, and they have convinced me three times to walk out to the mailbox only to find it hasn’t arrived. The last time they put us all through this was at 4:45, so I am determined to wait until at least 6, unless I see the postperson myself!
