Today would have been my father’s 100th birthday. Our weather has turned cold, highs in the mid 30’s and lows in the upper 20’s. The legs on my turtle pond in the backyard have iced over and it was funny to watch Oliver trying to get a drink and not finding any water. He had to walk around the pond to another location. Today should be the coldest in this spell as it is to be in the upper 40’s within a few days. I sewed the binding for the two quilts I quilted yesterday and then bound them so they are ready to go off to their new home. After that I relaxed and finished reading The Stockholm Octavo and started a new book, The Bookseller by Mark Pryor. Time to call it a day.
