I found out today that I have been accepted as a volunteer book reviewer and I now have chosen my first two books. I think this will be fun and also help my own writing. I started reading the first one after I cut a bunch of fabric for my graduation quilts and I am really enjoying it. I picked YA fantasy and so far it is all very good indeed. Our rain continues, with many heavy downpours, so it is perfect reading weather.

  1. Young Adult is one of my favourite genres.

I know some adults snub it because they think a book written for kids/teens can’t possibly be as good as adult literature but I think any genre can tell a fantastic story!

    • I agree and I find YA very rewarding. At least I don’t run the risk of finding extreme violence and graphic sex. And yes, any genre can tell a great story!
