This was my first Wednesday on the new schedule and it was a much quieter day. I worked at Student Link with several students in the morning, and then after lunch I taught my bridge class. We’re working on setting things up so that one Wednesday a month we can play a sanctioned game during class time, a gentler, less intimidating game. That will hopefully start in June. After that I only had to stop at the pharmacy to pick up the monthly prescriptions for both Oliver and me. I then took a nice nap and read more of my book. I think I like the new schedule.

  1. Cool, what kind of game are you playing? I’m assuming it would need to be something educational like Scrabble.

    • LOL! I don’t know how educational, but they have shown that bridge does help stave off Alzheimer’s and senility. Don’t know if it is true, but it is even more challenging than chess because you have a partner with whom you need to communicate. I teach and play duplicate bridge where every one plays the same hands and the results depend on who plays the hands best. That removes the luck of the shuffle.
