Saturday September 7, 2013

It was lovely to sleep in this morning! After doing my Saturday chores, I finished quilting the little squares I am making for Josie’s stuffed animal babies and then I squared all 54 of them. There are 32 which are 20″ square and 22 which are mostly 9″ square. I also cut all the binding (120 strips 2 1/2″ wide)! All I need to do now is sew and press the binding and then bind the 54 squares. That means doing 216 corners! I’m beginning to think that Grandma bit off too much, but we’ll see how it goes. I have to ship the quilts large and small by October 10th, so I do have some time. I had a little time to read my current book before Dr. Nell and Susan arrived for our vet visit. Everyone is doing fine and everyone cooperated well, so that was nice. Anja then stopped by for a few minutes and I was able to show her my various summer and current quilt projects. I am now more than ready to call it a day.
