I finished out my work week with all the papers marked. I didn’t have many questions today, so I was actually done early, but it was rather boring. I ran a few errands on the way home. I had a break to relax and read before my afternoon students arrived. I also read and edited a friend’s story. It is a great story and I hope she publishes it. It is really fun to see another author’s story grow into a really fine piece of writing. I have decided that I need to do the same homework as my student because he is moving so fast. We have a lovely time, and it is a really fun, and we want to do as much as we can before he heads off to college. I love Latin and it is great to have the challenge.

  1. Thank you, Daphne!

After a long morning and afternoon of research I’m 99% sure I’m going to go with Smashwords, a site specifically designed for Indie/self-publishing authors . Either way it will see the light of day soon, though. 🙂

I’m curious to hear how you learned latin. Were you taught it in school or did you learn it on your own as an adult?

    • I haven’t heard of Smashwords, but it sounds great. I had two years of Latin in high school and then taught myself enough to test out of two years of Latin for my PhD. Finally I got my BA in Latin from the University of Washington in 2003. I have just always loved Latin. This is the first time I’ve gotten to teach anyone and we are both doing it for fun and really enjoying it!
