Well, it is a new day and overall, things have balanced a bit. I put the very dead computer in my closet as it was just too sad to see it. I’ll call an island computer guy on Monday and I also have a friend who has offered to take it to the Apple store off island in Tacoma. I don’t know if there is any hope for retrieving anything. Still, I am extremely grateful for my iPad and for the fact that I have a keyboard to use with it. I wrote 4675 words today on it at Camp NaNoWriMo and my current word total is 44,989 words. The novel is now in two pieces on two different cloud storage devices, but at least it is somewhere and hopefully when my new laptop arrives on Monday I’ll be able to put the two pieces together. Meanwhile, Poosa seems to be doing better and while she is not fond of having psyllium slurry in her food, she is eating it. I spent much of the day after writing my words reading a novel and writing its review. I also got a lovely nap, after which I rearranged things on my desk and the wall above my desk so that things don’t look quite as strange.
