I finished the first draft of my fifth novel at CampNaNoWriMo today. It is both exciting and bittersweet. I’ll miss CampNaNoWriMo! But November and NaNoWriMo will be here soon, and honestly, I couldn’t keep up the pace of writing nearly 4000 words a day for much longer. I have enjoyed both camp sessions, though and I think three times a year is do-able, at least this year. My word count ended up at 78,881 words, and I’ve printed it all out, punched holes in the 206 pages, and put it all in a binder. I shall let it sit for a bit before I begin revisions. I did some chores and started a new review book. I got a few more pieces into my puzzle, which isn’t progressing very fast, but then, I’m not in a race.

Yay! Congrats on finishing! 78k words is a great accomplishment!
Thanks so much! Feels really good and a bit bittersweet. Can’t wait for November!
I know what you mean. Hope I can make it this November too! Looking forward to it. 🙂
Hope to see you there! And thanks! 🙂
