I cut what I hope is all the fabric for my next two quilts and tomorrow I’ll start sewing.  Then I finished my puzzle, the first 2000 piece puzzle that I’ve done.  It was quite challenging because there weren’t a lot of different colors, and I’ve been working on it for six weeks, but it was definitely worth the effort.  I have now started a 1000 piece puzzle which is shaped like an otter, which is in fact the subject of the puzzle.  There are pieces with no tabs, so it isn’t interlocking and the edge pieces are far from obvious, but it has a lot of bright colors and I think it will be great fun.  For the first time, I’ve taken all the pieces out of the box right away, so we’ll see how that goes.  Another student signed up for a tutoring slot.  I believe there is only one more student who has expressed an interest in working with me, but I don’t know whether or not she will.  At the moment I have 7 students from Student Link and 2 from Vashon High School.  Most of these have signed on for two hours/week, so I definitely have a much fuller schedule than I did last year.  We’ll see how it goes.

  1. I picked up a movie poster puzzle of Gigi… mostly white. That one is going to wait. My next one is going to be a comic map of London. Which sort of I hope will help me place the characters of the murder mystery I am reading 🙂

Have a great week. Little Miss is napping for the moment. Tomorrow, well actually Tuesdays and Thursdays when Son of Son is also here are my real long days. As Son of Son rarely naps now and it seems never at the same time as his sister! 🙂

  2. Thanks, Libby! It was amazing! And last night, as I was beginning to panic about the new schedule, I realized that it is only 1-2 hrs more than what I’ve had for years. It’s just re-arranged. So hopefully it will all work out! 🙂

  3. A comic map of London sounds fun. What murder mystery are you reading? And my Tuesdays are my longest day, followed closely by Thursdays. Wednesdays are a slight bit lighter, but thankfully, I only work three days! 🙂
