I spent the morning writing a couple book reviews and then starting to read a novella from a friend. I’m a beta reader for her. Then I worked on my puzzle. A friend came over to watch some TV with me after which I worked more of my puzzle. Then I looked at my fitbit steps for today and realized I’d been pretty still, so I decided to try running around the house from the bedroom to the living room, circling my couch and kitchen island. I won’t get to the 5000 steps I had yesterday, but I have the most active minutes so far, so that’s a plus. The dogs found it all very amusing.

  1. Daphne, you wouldn’t believe some of the goofy things I’ve done to increase my step count.

    I’ve paced around our (very small) apartment over and over again while listening to music.
    I’ve walked while watching TV shows.
    I’ve even started dancing in the kitchen when I’m cooking. Of course that isn’t safe all of the time, but it’s a good way to get a little bit of exercise while waiting for something to simmer or for the microwave to beep. Those few minutes here and there can add up over time.

    I wonder what your dogs thought you were doing? 😀

  2. LOL! Glad to hear I’m not alone! And my home isn’t large by any means, but at 1300 sq ft it’s bigger than an apartment. I did make the 5000 steps yesterday and I’m doing even better today, so I am moving around more with it. 🙂
