I’m so very grateful for NaNoWriMo! I’ve really enjoyed it every year since I started (this is my fourth year), but this year, dealing with the repercussions of my thinking vigorous exercise was a good idea, I’m really hanging on to NaNoWriMo! When I start writing, I don’t know anything else, and I forget the pain while I’m in my fantasy world. This would all be a lot rougher if I didn’t have NaNoWriMo!! I put a badge on the top right of this blog that will keep my statistics current for any who are interested, but once again, my characters have taken over. I wasn’t sure I’d given them enough to work with, but the whole thing is now blossoming–may that continue! Meanwhile, my doctor’s office did call to say that all my blood work is great so the only conclusion is that I really can’t do what I did, given the fact that I have fewer veins in my legs. My osteopath is having me come in a bit earlier on Friday and I’m hoping she will be able to do something for the swelling and pain. I do have much cooler compression socks now (instead of plain white, which I really don’t handle well). I had two students to tutor this morning and then one this afternoon but now I’m definitely done for the day.

  1. It is fun to be distracted by writing – anything. One gets lost, time stands still and all that matters are the words.
You can stay healthy without overdoing it and great on the novel stuff 😉
