I only had two students today after another cancelled. And my bridge class only had two students so we cancelled that as well giving me an easier day. I stopped in at Island Quilter. I’m so bummed that their building has sold out from under them. I don’t know what I’ll do if they can’t find a new spot. I feel so badly for Anja as this just hit out of the blue, and personally, I think Anja was treated very badly, but legally there’s nothing to be done about it. Anyway, I also edited another chapter and then had time to spend on my puzzle although I should have stopped an hour or so ago. One of our new Student Link students stopped by with her mom for a meet and greet and I’ll start working with her next week when the new semester starts.

  1. I wish the best for your friend.
Her situation reminds me of our government and ’eminent domain’ – Though I just read that at least in our area some local historic farmland is in a situation where if there land is taken, the ‘company’ must first replace the same amount of land back into the farmland preserve. At least that is what they are trying to do.

    • Right now she’s looking into her options but many of us, her included, are just devastated. The guys doing this are real jerks and totally unprincipled. It’s so sad. 😦
